Who You Can Cover
Coverage isn’t just for you
- Legal spouse – who is not eligible for coverage through their own employer (see Working Spouse Policy).
- Children under age 26, including natural, legally adopted, stepchildren, and eligible foster children placed by an authorized agency or court order.
- Incapacitated children may remain covered past age 26.
Working Spouse Policy
If your spouse is employed and their employer does not offer health coverage, or does not contribute anything toward the cost of coverage, your spouse may enroll in the ONI health plan. If your spouse enrolls, you must provide certification from their employer confirming either that they are ineligible for medical benefits, or that the employer does not contribute toward the cost of their coverage. This policy applies only to the ONI health plan.
