Medical Coverage for 2027
Two plans through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. Same network of doctors — different balance of paycheck cost and deductible.
ONI offers a PPO and a High Deductible Health Plan. Both use the same BCBS network, so your doctors don’t change based on which one you pick. What changes is how you pay.
The PPO costs more per paycheck but has a lower deductible — a good fit if you expect regular medical needs this year. The HDHP costs less per paycheck with a higher deductible, and it’s the only plan that lets you open a Health Savings Account, which ONI contributes to quarterly.
In-network preventive care is covered at 100% on both plans. Annual exams and physicals cost you nothing.
